Fenced Dog Parks

Round Valley

Round Valley

November 18, 2024 by

Park City’s crown jewel of open space, Round Valley, comprises 2,100 acres of rolling terrain. Free to the public and open for multi-use, Round Valley offers the most extensive groomed Nordic and single-track trails throughout the winter. With options for all abilities and select areas dedicated to Nordic only, there’s something for everyone. The 6-mile-long Big Easy Loop is groomed for fat bikes, as are the directional PorcUclimb Down Dog trails.

Well-behaved, off-leash dogs are welcomed (although not permitted in Nordic-only areas). Classic tracks are set as conditions allow. The grooming report and interactive map are updated daily throughout the winter.

Willow Creek

November 18, 2024 by

The Willow Creek system of trails connects Park City to Kimball Junction with over 15k kilometers of groomed trails. The area includes Nordic-only ski options in the Green Heart 5k (the largest working farm in the area) as well as dog and beginner-friendly trails throughout Willow Creek Park.

The 66 acres of undeveloped open space that adjoins the popular Willow Creek Park is a splendid example of the native wet meadows and high mountain grasslands that once dominated the landscape in this area. This undeveloped area provides a sense of scenery and balance among neighboring homes. The property is under a conservation easement held by Utah Open Lands.

UOP and Basin 5K

The Basin Recreation 5K cross-country trail offers an excellent, Nordic-only experience. The 5K trail is directional and switches daily. The lower loop in the meadow is open and gentle, while the upper portion of the loop is winding, technical, and challenging. Although the 5K trail is not open to dogs or snowshoeing, it is adjacent to Run-A-Muck, Park City’s premier off-leash dog park. For hikers and snowshoes, the NMA trail provides a great option from the Overland Trailhead.
