Happy Friday Trails Users! The MTF and WTF crews had an adventurous week collaborating and learning from a few different trail crews up in Boise, Idaho. Ridge to Rivers hosted us on a 20-mile bike ride highlighting and teaching us how they manage a variety of trails across five different agencies. SWIMBA broke down their processes on their recent adaptive trail systems build that included green, blue and black lines for adaptive riders. ADA/Eagle Trail Crew walked us through their insights and knowledge of building and maintaining their epic bike park over the years that offers friendly green laps for beginners all the way up to double black lines with 30-foot gaps and 8-foot drops. The crews had a blast engaging in conversation, techniques, and different experiences on how to best manage trails and processes.
A couple crew members did get out on a tree mission on PCM and cleared things up to the top of Silver Queen. They said that zone will still need a day or two to dry out before people should get out on it, and there will be lingering spots of snow and wet spots in the shade. Everything above Mid Mountain is still too wet and needs more time to dry out, so please plan your routes accordingly and donβt rut trails. Round Valley is all good to go! Have a nice sunny weekend!

Hey all! Just a little update before the weekend if you plan on riding trails at PCMR. Yesterday, we were able to clear Mother Urban, Johns 99, and Johns. There a few snowfields in drainages as you get to the top of Johns 99. Empire Link is still holding a good amount of snow, as is everything above it. Everything on the Armstrong side is good to go; Hams, CMG, Seldom Seen, etc. Along with Jenni's, Loose Moose, etc. Enjoy the weekend and feed those hungry tires a well-rounded meal of delectable dirt! ... Truly, how is it the end of April? At least it feels like spring! π Here is your weekly trail report send-off into the weekend. π«‘
The beginning of the week was very wet, but we are grateful for the untimely moisture regardless. The trails are drying up and looking great overall. Round Valley is rocking π€, where things might get mucky the higher you climb and in the shaded areas of the trails and on the mountain.
The machines and crews were out doing trailwork on Pulp Friction (RV), Lower Seldom Seen (PCM), and Ponderosa (Slate Creek) this week. Machines are off to the sides of trails, and handwork up to them is finished, so they are all open for business for the weekend!
There will be a couple crewmembers on a saw mission for a Friday loop on Mother Urban to maybe Johns 99 if things arenβt too mucky. And Roy Boy made his way back to the shop.
The weekend is looking cool and sunny. βοΈπ
Cheers,
MTF
