Summit Park & Discovery

December 4, 2024 by

Whether you’re a mountain biker, avid hiker, or trail runner, Discovery Ridge provides a range of trails and terrain to suit all skill levels. Directional trails provide great loop options and connections to Toll Canyon and Summit Park make for miles of fun.

Mountain bikers can enjoy the fun, beginner-level Pale green dot trail or challenge themselves on the most aggressive, experts-only Dead Reckoning trail featuring large drops and gap jumps. Those looking for a more extended adventure (with lots of vert!) can connect to Summit Park via Toll New World and No Worries Trails.

Hikers and walkers can enjoy the Discovery Loop trail, climb Toll New World to Toll Canyon trail (hike only), or connect to the top of Summit Park.

Given its elevation and aspects, this area holds snow longer into the spring and may be affected by early season fall storms. However, this means it offers cooler, more shaded conditions through the summer.

Round Valley

November 21, 2024 by

Park City’s year-round, backyard playground- 2,100 acres of rolling, high-desert terrain with over 50 miles of great beginner and intermediate singletrack, as well as wider, soft-surface and paved pathways for both two and four-legged trail users. Dogs are permitted off-leash in this area. Please refer to signage for updates and designated off-leash trails.

Bonanza Flat

November 18, 2024 by

Bonanza Flat offers a high-alpine adventure with 12km of groomed Nordic trails and 5 miles of groomed multi-use trails. At approximately 9,000ft, these trails aren’t for the faint of heart (or lungs), but those willing to make the effort are rewarded with unparalleled views and great snow winding through pines and spruces.

Although beautiful, Bonanza Flat is isolated, and adverse weather is possible. Users are encouraged to check weather conditions and come prepared for the worst.

Round Valley

November 18, 2024 by

Park City’s crown jewel of open space, Round Valley, comprises 2,100 acres of rolling terrain. Free to the public and open for multi-use, Round Valley offers the most extensive groomed Nordic and single-track trails throughout the winter. With options for all abilities and select areas dedicated to Nordic only, there’s something for everyone. The 6-mile-long Big Easy Loop is groomed for fat bikes, as are the directional PorcUclimb Down Dog trails.

Well-behaved, off-leash dogs are welcomed (although not permitted in Nordic-only areas). Classic tracks are set as conditions allow. The grooming report and interactive map are updated daily throughout the winter.

Summit Park & Discovery

November 18, 2024 by

Summit Park and Discover Ridge Trail area host a variety of winter singletrack trail options. Trails South of I-80 exist primarily on heavily treed and steeper terrain, catering to intermediate and expert users. The region’s elevations (up to 8,600ft) and aspects often hold more snow throughout the season. For this reason, users are recommended to have wayfinding skills and be aware of avalanche conditions. Alternatively, Trails North of I-80, accessed from The Woods trailhead, are relatively flat and open.

The only groomed fatbike singletrack trails in the area are UP and Pale Green Dot. These are all accessed from the Discovery Ridge Trailhead.
